11A & 9-Man Polls: Area Teams Retain Spots

Area teams retained spots in the 11A and 9-man football polls, released Wednesday by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters Sportswriters Association. Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm stayed second in 11A.  The Thunder are 5-0 after defeating Sargent County.  Velva/Drake/Anamoose/Garrison keeps the top spot. With what now is a 30-game winning streak, New Rockford-Sheyenne-Maddock stays at number one in the 9-man rankings.  The Rockets, 5-0 after winning over North Prairie, have averaged over 57 points a game in their first five outings.  LaMoure-Litchville/Marion remains second in the poll.  Despite losing for the first time this season, Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter remained in the rankings, but moved down one spot to fifth.
