Two men accused of helping women illegally enter the U.S. from Canada

GRAND FORKS — Four people could be charged in North Dakota federal court after two women were allegedly smuggled into the U.S. at the Canadian border. Eric Lester and Christopher Marchetta, both of Louisiana, are accused of helping two women from Belize, Rubiceli Aldana and Camille Aldana, illegally cross into the U.S. at the Canadian border on Saturday night. A complaint against the men was filed Tuesday. It lists three potential charges for bringing an alien into the U.S., but these have not been finalized yet as an official indictment. The women also have cases open in federal court but haven t been officially charged yet either. All four defendants had their initial appearances Wednesday in Fargo.
