Dilworth residents weigh in on planned Highway 10 project

DILWORTH — Residents had a chance to weigh in on a planned road construction project set to go right through the heart of Dilworth. The Minnesota Department of Transportation is planning to reconstruct U.S. Highway 10 along a 2-mile stretch between 34th Street and 14th Street East. If all phases of the project are approved, construction would begin as early as 2032. Residents were able to get a closer look at the designs for the project at a meeting at D-G-F Elementary on Wednesday, Sept. 23. The project is several years away from starting, officials said. They are now in the "municipal consent process." "The municipal consent process gives the public a chance to talk to their city representation and weigh in on the project and we don't feel like the public can do that without getting some information on the project and what we're doing," said Andrew Krog, a project manager with MnDOT. ]]>
